These elegant and practical casks in solid oak are made to our own desing
by master coopers carrying on a generations-long craft tradition. They
will grace any counter or dining room, often featuring prominently in
the décor.
A genuine selling aid, casks invite the customer to drink wine flowing
free from a tap, as it used to once upon a time…
The cask is easily sited on or behind the counter, or on a tabletop in
the case of restaurant dining rooms and terraces, and indeed in the dens
or kitchens of private dwellings.
Casks holding one 10 litre bag-in-box are available with and without
refrigeration, as required.
Refrigerated versions incorporate a 220 V compressor, located in the bottom
of the cask, which uses minimal power and is practically silent.
The temperature is adjustable according to preference. Minimum temperature
of the wine will be 5°C.
Assuming the wine to be at an ambient temperature of 20° C and remembering
that the box acts as an insulating medium, chilling to 10° C will
take between 6 and 7 hours. It is good policy to keep the wine in cold
store so that it can be brought out chilled and ready to drink at any
time. In the refrigerated containers the box can only be inserted from
the front. However, in the unrefrigerated containers, the box can be inserted
from the front and from the rear.
